15 Hatfields – no.1 for sustainable events and conferences
Ecologist
15th April, 2009
Situated on London’s South Bank, just a short walk from Waterloo, 15 Hatfields is a purpose built, state of the art events and conference venue, built and operated to the highest environmental specifications.
Sustainability is at the centre of everything we do at 15 Hatfields. We have been careful to develop a venue using products and materials from sustainable sources, and to minimise water and energy consumption.
We have collaborated with other venue and conference providers to be among the first organisations to apply for BS8901 accreditation, the world’s first certifiable event management standard on sustainability.
15 Hatfields offers a variety of flexible spaces that can be tailored to suit any size of event. The venue is suitable for all types of functions, from conferences and workshops, presentations to product launches, breakfasts, lunches, dinners and private parties. We have invested in the latest state-of-the-art audio visual equipment with full technical support and advisers available on-site.
We provide a quality catering service ranging from a small drinks and canapé reception, right through to a silver service dinner menu. We only work with external suppliers that can demonstrate a similar commitment to the environment. We aim to provide Fairtrade and organic, and locally sourced where possible. We also bottle our own water on site, in re-usable glass bottles, and provide a comprehensive recycling scheme for our clients and staff.
15 Hatfields will be hosting the Ecologist’s first round table event on 20 April 2009 with leading figures discussing the future of renewable energy with the Ecologist’s editor Pat Thomas
